Trina Storage Launches Next-Generation "Elementa + Electra" Solution at Middle East Energy 2026 in Dubai
Dubai - Nedae Al-Watan: Trina Storage, the global leader in energy storage solutions and a business unit of Trina Solar, announced its official participation in Middle East Energy (MEE) 2026, held from September 1 to 3 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. During the event, the company officially launched and showcased its latest energy storage solution, "Elementa + Electra," for the first time in the Middle East region at the Energy Storage Hall, Stand Z3.F51.
"Elementa + Electra" is a fully integrated, utility-scale energy storage solution that combines DC and AC architecture. It integrates the state-of-the-art "Elementa 3" DC battery system, featuring a capacity of 6.25 MWh, with the "Electra" AC platform delivering an output of 13.8 MVA, providing developers with enhanced flexibility to meet diverse project and application requirements.
This launch comes as countries across the Middle East and Africa accelerate their drive to expand renewable energy capacities and achieve net-zero targets. Consequently, energy storage systems (BESS) have become critical for balancing renewable generation and bolstering power grid stability as solar and other clean energy projects are integrated into the grid.
Executive Insights and Technical Specifications
In a statement highlighted by Nedae Al-Watan, Jack Chen, Head of Energy Storage for the Middle East and Africa at Trina Solar, stated: "The next phase of energy storage in MEA will be defined by the ability to deploy solutions at scale while meeting increasingly demanding technical and operational requirements. For Trina Storage, the focus is on providing utilities and developers with integrated solutions that combine performance, reliability, and flexibility to support long-term growth in the region's energy storage sector."
The new system delivers a storage capacity of up to 50 MWh and an AC output reaching 13.8 MVA, powered by high-density 587 Ah battery cells, achieving an overall system efficiency of 96%. Additionally, the system features ultra-fast power conversion, responding at full capacity within 10 milliseconds, alongside robust support for grid-forming and black-start capabilities to meet the evolving demands of modern electrical grids.
Safety Standards and Operational Efficiency
Designed with the highest safety standards in mind, "Elementa + Electra" incorporates advanced thermal protection and multi-layered electrical defenses, including a 120-minute fire resistance rating and six layers of electrical safety protection.
Furthermore, containerized delivery and factory pre-testing help reduce site commissioning times by up to 50%, significantly accelerating project execution and reducing total installation costs.
